  • "Look out Laurie Berkner. There's a new folk/pop princess in town!"
    Goodie Goodie Gumdrops
"Bari Koral has pristine vocal chops that brought to mind Sheryl Crow. There is definitely an earthy, natural quality to this album. "Hey Ducky" was by far Nate's favorite song and is quite possibly his favorite song EVER. I would highly recommend Rock and Roll Garden.
It's pure, pleasurable pop that you and your little one will find irresistible."
  • "The first time listening to her new album Rock and Roll Garden, I knew we had found a family classic.”
    Because Babies Grow Up
"The first time my children did all the actions to the songs on very first time they heard the songs! The first time we have religiously carried a CD from house to car and back into the house every time we’ve gone somewhere. Bari Koral has been compared to Jewel and Norah Jones, but for me, Bari is the sister to the part of my soul that aspires to change children’s lives and help parents connect with their children through music."

  • "Bari Koral, the hot thing in parent/kids music takes it outside"
    NY MAGAZINE
"Family band" is not false advertising — Koral's lyrics are kid-friendly (she croons about cars, waves, airplanes, and farms), while her up-tempo rock songs are a huge hit with parents (think Norah Jones with a smidge of honky-tonk). And that simple fact has earned her debut disc, a spot as a Children's Music Award finalist, a place on XM KIDS' top-ten list, and attention from many papers in town. Of course, if you're into the local kid-rock scene, you already know all of this — and are just excited the breezy Ms. Koral is playing this sweet, late-summer park show, part of Carroll Park's excellent free family music series.
  • "Sheryl Crow for kids"
    THE NY POST
"Thanks to a catchy, Beatles-influenced pop sound, parents won't even care that Bari Koral's Family Rock and Roll Band is singing about farms and cars. Little ones will happily sing along with the proclaimed "Sheryl Crow for kids."
  • "Pure Parent Pleasure"
    NY MAGAZINE
Female rockers rule! Especially those who play for kids. Check out Bari Koral and her Family Rock Band. The lyrics are kid friendly (cars, waves, airplanes, farms), but the sound is pure parent pleasure: real rock. If you're toe-tapping, Koral's job is done; she's all about getting parents up and dancing. — Alexandra Zissu

    The Daily Freeman
"With Koral's breathy, warm voice and inherent rock sensibility, this cd is a kid's classic, certainly one parents will be borrowing from the kids. Parent's never had it so good! Of course all this just makes you die to see the live show"
  • "If Norah Jones upped the tempo and geared music towards young people..."
    Out with The Kids
What would Norah Jones sound like if she decided to up the tempo a bit and make music geared towards young people? My guess is that she would probably emulate the music The Bari Koral Family Rock Band is making right now. What a lovely original six song effort from this college rock veteran who at one time was considered a peer of Jeff Buckley, Joan Osborne and even Norah Jones. Bari's voice is serene and soulful while the rootsy music seems effortless and classic in nature. The final track "I Wanna Play in a Rock and Roll Band" is terrific as is the hand-clapping splendor of "A Day At The Beach". The music on this six song CD is anything but corny (despite the questionable cover art) and certainly isn't your typical kiddie rock record. Your gang will, without a doubt, be rockin' and groovin' to the Bari Koral Family Rock Band.
