05/01/2002 Archived Entry: "She's Great & She's Jim Morrison's daughter!"

I seem to be on the 1000 step program towards success. Perhaps I should have be born the daughter of someone famous and I could have been famous lickety split. Just like that. I could have been Jim Morrison's daughter for instance. Everyone would see me and love me and it will be this big secret that I was Jim Morrison's daughter but no one would be able to keep the secret. Everyone would say "your not supposed to know this but she's really Jim Morrison's daughter" and so on and so on just like in those Faberge Organic Shampoo commercials (I told all my friends about Faberge shampoo, and they told their friends and they told their friends and they told their friends too). Everyone would want to see Jim Morrison's daughter! And then they would hear me play songs from JOY and be instantly hooked. VIOLA! Too bad I couldn't just go back in time and jump into the womb of some buxom Doors fan who had a series of romantic meetings with Jim Morrison at his Paris hotel. Ah, tres bien.

My dad owns an electronic store on 6th Ave. Dad is a swell guy, and whenever you purchase a SONY CD player you do occasionally get a free copy of JOY, but this process is taking a very long time. Yes, being the daughter of a famous rock and roll star would certainly have been quicker.
Note to self: I'll have to consider this for next time.
